Job description

E-COMMERCE COORDINATOR - GREENVALE, NY (coming soon)!

Join the launch of our new Greenvalestore as a Full-Time E-Commerce Coordinator and play a key role in delivering a fast, accurate, and exceptional online shopping experience. This role is instrumental in delivering an exceptional customer experience by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding service for all online orders. (This position will train at a local store until our store opening in July).

The E-Commerce Coordinator will utilize handheld technology to manage online customer orders, oversee efficient order picking, and coordinate store pickups and deliveries. In addition, this individual will provide daily direction and support to E-Commerce clerks.
Please note: This position will train at a nearby store until the Greenvale location opens in July.

Responsibilities
  • Select and gather products for online customer orders efficiently, with a strong focus on quality and freshness

  • Initiate and complete the order selection process from receipt through fulfillment

  • Assemble online orders, process coupons and payments, and ensure timely delivery to customers' vehicles upon pickup

  • Scan and bag items while shopping in-store, adhering to all bagging and handling standards

  • Communicate substitutions or order exceptions to customers at pickup

  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded regarding convenience, product variety, freshness, and cleanliness

  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, food safety standards, and company policies

  • Store products in appropriate temperature-controlled zones

  • Review and follow special instructions included in customer order notes

  • Verify order accuracy and retrieve orders from staging locations for pickup

  • Provide a positive and welcoming customer experience that encourages repeat online shopping

  • Process transactions through the POS system

  • Follow established substitution guidelines for out-of-stock items

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of staging areas and equipment

  • Report pricing, scanning, inventory location discrepancies, and temperature issues to the E-Commerce Supervisor

  • Adapt to new processes and meet or exceed productivity standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Previous experience in e-commerce, personal shopping, warehouse operations, stocking, or cashiering preferred

  • Ability to read shelf tags and follow written instructions

  • Basic math skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Open availability, including weekdays and weekends, based on store needs

  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English
