ABOUT THE JOB

The Director of eCommerce leads the growth and optimization of BEIS's web and mobile app experiences, with full ownership of onsite merchandising, app strategy, search (SEO and GEO), international expansion, and conversion performance. This role sets the eCommerce roadmap, drives profitable revenue growth through data-led testing and optimization, and partners with the VP of eCommerce & Digital on long-term strategy, forecasting, and digital P&L.

  • Own the mobile app roadmap and growth strategy, identifying opportunities to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and contribution to the business.
  • Lead onsite testing and optimization across desktop, mobile web, and app, including A/B testing, personalization, navigation, landing pages, and checkout, leveraging customer insights and behavioral data to improve funnel performance.
  • Own search strategy across the eCommerce ecosystem, including onsite search, SEO, and emerging GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) initiatives to maximize discoverability and organic traffic growth.
  • Lead the global eCommerce expansion strategy and Global-e partnership, ensuring localization, operational excellence, and profitable growth across international markets.
  • Direct short- and long-term merchandising strategy using AI-powered personalization and predictive merchandising platforms, including Nosto, and ongoing optimization of Narvar for post-purchase experience.
  • Establish reporting frameworks for traffic health, acquisition quality, funnel performance, and conversion optimization; translate analytics into actionable recommendations that improve revenue and customer experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Paid Media, Retention, Brand Marketing, and Social on traffic quality, attribution, and overall digital business health, and with Legal and IT on compliance, privacy, and digital accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG).
  • Lead, develop, and manage the UX/UI Designer, eCommerce Manager, and Site Merchandiser, building a high-performing team and a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Other related Duties as required.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 7+ years of direct-to-consumer eCommerce experience, with demonstrated function-level ownership consistent with Director-level scope.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Shopify Plus; Global-e and international eCommerce experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of improving conversion, revenue, and customer lifetime value through testing, personalization, and onsite optimization.
