Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute strategies and plans for eCommerce customers in line with Hunter Fan Company’s business requirements and growth objectives.
  • Own the path to purchase and all associated eCommerce sales and marketing activities across assigned customers, channels, and platforms.
  • Manage all aspects of selling on Amazon and support growth across, marketplaces and customer channels as applicable.
  • Ensure achievement of agreed customer targets and key performance indicators, including sales, profitability, forecast accuracy, digital shelf performance, content quality, inventory alignment, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Implement, follow up, and update customer and channel plans to ensure priorities, timing, ownership, and execution are clearly managed.
  • Support Category, Channel, Marketing, and Product teams in the development of sales plans, promotional programs, product launches, and customer-specific growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with peer Customer Managers and internal business partners to share best practices and drive account-related initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Paid media department to develop advertising initiatives
  • Lead account management activities, including forecasting, inventory planning, promotional planning, site merchandising opportunities, cross-selling, site events, and customer business reviews.
  • Collect, analyze, and translate data from internal and external systems into actionable insights, business updates, and recommended next steps.
  • Manage vendor portal requirements with accounts, including item setup, content updates, reporting, compliance, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee content data management and uploading across accounts and channels, including product copy, images, enhanced content, item attributes, pricing, and launch readiness.
  • Effectively manage direct reports to ensure goals are well defined and executed
  • Ensure adherence to all Company principles, policies, customer requirements, pricing guidelines, and brand standards.
  • Ensure development of careers, succession plans, coaching, prioritization, and performance guidance for direct reports as assigned.
  • Work comfortably in the grey with an end-to-end understanding of the business, including sales, operations, content, inventory, fulfillment, customer experience, and profitability.
  • Challenge the status quo and continuously raise the bar for eCommerce execution, process improvement, reporting, and customer experience.
  • Required travel 20-30%

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Sales, or other related field required
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive sales, marketing, eCommerce, channel management, marketplace management, or digital commerce experience required.
  • Prior experience in eCommerce is essential. Experience with Amazon, national retailers, marketplace platforms, Shopify or similar digital commerce platforms, vendor portals, product content tools, and analytics systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading direct reports, cross-functional initiatives, customer planning, forecasting, promotional strategy, and online business reviews

Preferred:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary, including the ability to communicate clearly with customers, leadership, and cross-functional partners.

  • Working and intuitive knowledge of computers with exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and various vendor portal systems.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory planning, promotional planning, site merchandising, content management, marketplace requirements, and eCommerce analytics.
  • Ability to work within a set expense budget and manage resources responsibly.
  • Willingness to travel 10% to 20% with minimal overnight travel and occasional weekend work as required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 to 50 lbs. as needed for product samples, customer meetings, trade shows, or merchandising activities.
  • Must be comfortable working on a ladder at heights of 15’ when needed for product reviews, displays, or customer support activities.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electricity preferred.
