Job description

Support the E-Commerce Manager in effectively managing the personal shopping and delivery driver team for quality, productivity, profitability and efficiency. Will help plan, organize, coordinate and schedule multiple online orders to be completed within a given time frame while providing our customer the best product we have to offer and outstanding customer service. The Assistant E-Commerce Manager must be an effective communicator who can lead, coach, direct and teach others. The Assistant E-Commerce Manager will function as the department manager in his/her absence.


  • Must be 18 years of age with High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete training in the E-Commerce department.
  • Ability to display initiative and work with limited supervision.
  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple orders within a given time frame.
  • Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge with willingness to learn.
  • Capable of following verbal directions, organized, self-confident, and committed to excellence.
  • Ability to display initiative and work with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work a scheduled based on the business needs of the store location.
  • Authorized to work within the U.S.

  • Coordinating orders and delivery with shopping manager.
  • Proper “on location” customer service and communication.
  • Work efficiently and at an acceptable pace.
  • Handling each picked transaction in an efficient and organized manner, assuring that each item is the finest and freshest the store has to offer.
  • Ensure all new department associates receive proper review and indoctrination of job descriptions, goals, and objectives.
  • Ensure fair and consistent treatment in administering discipline to promote high associate morale.
  • Master the store layout for efficient picking procedures and demonstrate product knowledge.
  • Pick, store and label products correctly, and arrange totes for easy access and proper delivery.
  • Works carefully to reduce shrink and damage of merchandise.
  • Effectively control proper storage limiting shrink and damaged goods.
  • Retrieves and fills customer’s orders accurately and on time.
  • Properly handle and maintain all computer hardware.
  • Notifying the shopping manager of customer comments and complaints, security problems, incorrect prices and errors or problems with UPC codes and products problems (damages or out of stock).
  • Ensure all wage and hour policies and regulations are adhered to.
  • Assist department manager with work schedules and breaks; achieve payroll consistently by scheduling with budget.
  • Follow proper hand washing, good sanitation, food storage and handling procedures.
  • Maintain a neat personal appearance including proper uniform and dress code.
  • Practice the “Cleaner’s Creed” and proper sanitation procedures.
  • Practice careful product handling and proper temperature storage of every product picked.

Secondary Job Functions:

  • Ensure that all customer orders are correctly charged, refunded and/or credited.
  • Effectively communicating with customers out of stocks, substitutions, pick-up, and delivery schedule changes.
  • Motivate associates by consistently praising, recognizing and involving. Devote proper time and attention to training.
  • Guarantee outstanding product quality and timely service through cooperation with store manager; assuring that each item is picked, stored and delivered without compromise of Roche Bros.
  • Assure that all picked items are of highest quality and freshness, and that all orders are properly tagged and stored for easy retrieval and shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (and thus compliance with all state and federal laws applicable to our industry).
  • Responsible for maintaining all e-commerce equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order and condition, including delivery vehicles, cell phones, and GPS systems.

Hiring Range: In accordance with MA Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. At Roche Bros., we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The hiring range for this position is $19.40 - $25.20 per hour.
