Dynamite information

What is a dynamite professional?

Dynamite professionals are individuals trained in the safe handling, storage, and use of dynamite, an explosive material commonly used in construction, mining, demolition, and quarrying. Their main responsibilities include preparing and placing dynamite charges, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and detonating explosives to break rock or structures. These experts must follow strict regulations to prevent accidents and protect both people and the environment. In addition to technical skills, dynamite professionals often work closely with engineers and site managers to plan and execute blasting operations safely and efficiently.

What are some common challenges faced by demolition professionals when working with dynamite on construction sites?

Demolition professionals who use dynamite often face challenges such as ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, managing unpredictable site conditions, and coordinating closely with engineers and site managers. Proper planning and communication are crucial, as mistakes can lead to safety hazards or damage to nearby structures. Additionally, professionals must stay updated on regulations and best practices to safely handle, store, and detonate explosives in compliance with local laws.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a dynamite technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Dynamite Technician, you need a solid understanding of explosives handling, safety protocols, and relevant regulations, usually requiring certification and specialized training in explosives technology. Familiarity with blasting machines, detonators, and electronic initiation systems is crucial for safe and precise operations. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are vital soft skills for minimizing risk and working within teams. These capabilities ensure operational safety, regulatory compliance, and successful outcomes in industries like mining and construction.

Manhattan Beach, CA

Job description

Chef David LeFevre has carved a niche in Manhattan Beach with eclectic, chef driven restaurants focusing on soulful food, engaging service, hand crafted cocktails and boutique wine selections. Manhattan Beach Post opened in April 2011, Fishing With Dynamite in April 2013 and The Arthur J in June 2015. We are looking to recruit skilled, highly passionate, experienced and motivated Bartender/Mixologists @ Fishing with Dynamite.

A qualified Bartender/Mixology Candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years bartending experience behind a bar focusing on hand crafted cocktails, micro-brewed beer and a nuanced wine program. A candidate should maintain that Guest interaction and service is FIRST among all things. He/She is a perfectionist and craftsman skilled at building the perfect sazerac or achieving perfect balance in a Hemmingway Daiquiri while still being able to be flexible and create a cocktail on the fly when a Guest asks for something with basil, gin, lemon juice and pink peppercorn that maintains impeccable flavor harmony. We expect the right candidate also to possess the same passion and knowledge in food as our qualified server candidates. Candidates for all positions will possess humility, respect and integrity.

A flexible schedule is preferred lunch and dinner hours will be required. Most of all we are looking for individuals passionate about hospitality and relationship building. If youre a bartender who believes in the integrity of a well constructed, hand-crafted/from-scratch made cocktail than youre exactly what were looking for.
