Job description

Purafil is the global leader in gas phase (chemical) filtration technology.  Our products and solutions are targeted towards providing superior levels of Indoor Air Quality in a variety of environments including but not limited to oil & gas; water treatment; heavy manufacturing; electronics & semiconductor manufacturing; data centers; transportation; mining;

commercial offices; restaurants & food service; galleries, museums, archives & libraries – for corrosion protection, odor control, health, and preservation applications.

We are seeking a dynamic manufacturing leader to join our team to as a shift supervisor to provide operational leadership to our manufacturing associates.  This person is responsible for the safety, compliance, quality, and production on the shift.  The successful individual will also possess a customer-centric focus and deep desire for the shift’s continuous improvement.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS:
Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM


Job Duties

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies.
  • Mix liquid impregnate solution for the daily (shift) production.
  • Control the combining of liquid and dry chemicals to produce pellets.
  • Produce media to specification at a sustained rate to meet daily production goals and quality of product.
  • Submit accurate production paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Lead department efforts to reduce setup time at the start of the shift.
  • Assist with the setup and startup for the oncoming shift.
  • Participate in department efforts to increase media yield.
  • Monitor operating supply levels and notify Purafil manufacturing leadership when levels get low.
  • Replace waste collection sling bags when required.
  • Keep the work area and department clean and organized (i.e., dispose of packaging and cleaning dust and pellets in and around workstations).
  • Assist on covering other workstations (CP blend, Module, Puragrid, Dump Station, etc)
  • Monitor operating supply levels and notify Purafil manufacturing leadership when levels get low.
  • Perform all other tasks as directed by Purafil manufacturing leadership.
  • Train other crew members as required.

Skills and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use a calculator to do basic addition and multiplication.
  • Ability to become Purafil forklift certified.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Other

  • This position is entirely based in a manufacturing environment. Shifts last 8-12 hours per day, 4-6 days per week.  Most of this time is spent walking and standing on concrete manufacturing floor in extreme heat and cold; climbing stairs and ladders; wearing personal protective equipment including safety glasses, earplugs, safety shoes, and dust mask.  Requires weekend work as production needs dictate.  Be able to lift fifty pounds.
