Responsibilities
  • Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations encompassing obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and minor parts imaging
  • Ensure that patients feel safe and comfortable during procedures by explaining processes with empathy and clarity
  • Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the delivery of high-caliber diagnostic images
  • Efficiently operate and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any undesirable conditions to the appropriate personnel
  • Thoroughly document procedures and manage patient records using the electronic medical system
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices
Education Requirements
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
  • Preferably, completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
  • Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a plus
