Summary:
The Rescue Technician will maintain a safe work environment while working for customers, site safety supervision, service and repair breathing air equipment, service and repair fire extinguisher.
Responsibilities of the Rescue Technician include, but are not limited to:
  • Onsite Rescue Technicians oversee the following for HSE Integrated:
  • Safety Watch, CSE and Spark Watch
  • Confined Space Rescue / High Angle Rescue Equipment
  • Internal policies and procedures
  • Responsible for assessing and developing rescue plans
  • Contractor and Client relations as they pertain to daily activities in the plant
  • Perform on site confined space rescues
  • Pre-plan for specific confined space work.
  • Help our clients complete hazard assessments, review lockout and tag out procedures, ensure the integrity of permits, and demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Perform safety meetings and hazard assessments with on-site employees
  • Ensure that client is in compliance with relevant safety legislation.
  • Deals with client and contractor issues and concerns as they pertain to HSE Integrated onsite duties and mandates laid out by the Operations Manager
  • The duties here are in relation to the deployment of Safety Watch to jobsite, the rigging in/out and inspection of rescue equipment and other assignments

Qualifications of the Rescue Technician include, but are not limited to:
  • Must be fluent in all HSE Integrated documentation and protocols as it pertains to the following categories:
  • Training systems for onsite HSE Integrated personnel
  • Rig in/out and inspection procedures
  • Onsite evaluation systems
  • Trailer maintenance
  • Incident/Accident reporting
  • Client permitting systems and Codes of Practice in relation to HSE Integrated's onsite role
