Position Overview

Ace Landscaping is seeking a dependable Mason Dump Driver & Secondary Equipment Operator to support our landscape construction and hardscape crews. This position is responsible for safely operating a mason dump truck to transport materials, equipment, and debris while also assisting on job sites by operating small equipment and supporting the crew with labor tasks.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and willing to assist wherever needed to keep projects running efficiently.

General Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a mason dump truck to transport materials, equipment, and debris to and from job sites

  • Load and unload materials such as stone, soil, gravel, sand, and pavers

  • Deliver and pick up materials from suppliers and job sites

  • Assist with operating small equipment including dingos, skid steers, plate compactors, and mini excavators when needed

  • Assist the crew with site preparation, excavation, grading, and material placement

  • Support hardscape and masonry installations when required

  • Maintain a clean and organized truck, trailer, and equipment

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck

  • Secure loads properly and follow all safety and DOT regulations

  • Assist with keeping job sites clean and organized

  • Follow directions from the Foreman or Crew Leader

General Accountabilities

  • Safely transport materials and equipment to ensure crews stay productive

  • Maintain company trucks and equipment in clean and working condition

  • Communicate clearly with the foreman regarding deliveries, job site needs, or delays

  • Follow company safety standards and driving practices

  • Represent the company professionally while on the road and at supplier locations

  • Be flexible and assist the crew with labor and equipment operation as needed

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred but not always required depending on truck size)

  • Experience driving mason dump trucks or similar work trucks

  • Ability to operate or learn small landscape equipment

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Ability to work well as part of a team

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in landscape construction or hardscape installation

  • Experience operating mini excavators, skid steers, or dingos

  • Knowledge of material handling and job site logistics

  • Experience towing trailers and equipment
