This role is strictly onsite at our Hospital in Long Beach, California, where our Dermatology Department thrives in a collaborative environment. • Utilize your advanced practice knowledge to systematically collect and evaluate comprehensive health assessment data for dermatological patients.
• Independently manage a caseload of patients, ensuring that care is tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.
• Administer medications and interventions as delegated by the supervising physician, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to facilitate accurate assessment and management of dermatological conditions.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and their families, utilizing strategies to overcome potential barriers and improve understanding.
• Provide a full spectrum of dermatological services, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management of ongoing skin conditions.
• Serve as an educational resource for patients, their families, and colleagues, sharing knowledge on relevant dermatological practices.
• Actively participate in departmental quality improvement programs, contributing to the elevation of care standards.
• Document patient interactions and care plans accurately in electronic medical records, utilizing tools that enhance patient tracking and communication among providers.

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, which includes individuals of all ages with a range of dermatological conditions. Your role is crucial in delivering developmentally and age-appropriate care, ensuring that each patient receives tailored education and support to manage their specific skin health issues effectively.

• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the Medical Board.
• Current CPR certification and any other requisite credentials.

• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally in a dermatology setting, is preferred to ensure proficiency in managing various dermatological conditions.

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 160,000 to 200,000, commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and education. Additionally, your compensation package includes:
