Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments by utilizing advanced practice knowledge and skills to evaluate and manage a diverse patient caseload with various dermatological conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as delegated by the supervising physician, ensuring adherence to established clinical protocols.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including biopsies and cultures, to aid in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions.
• Engage with patients using effective communication strategies to ensure their understanding of treatment plans and address any concerns.
• Provide a comprehensive range of healthcare services encompassing health promotion, education, preventive care, and chronic disease management tailored specifically to dermatological health.
• Act as a key educational resource for patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals to foster understanding and awareness regarding dermatological issues.
• Stay abreast of and incorporate the latest clinical practices and guidelines into patient care while participating actively in departmental Quality Improvement programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Dermatology Physician Assistant will serve a varied patient population, including individuals of all ages facing conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, and other dermatological ailments. As expert facilitators of care, you will prioritize delivering individualized plans that respect developmental needs and foster better health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies is a prerequisite for this role.
• Current Physician Assistant certification (PA-C) by the Medical Board is required.
• Strong foundational knowledge in dermatology is essential, demonstrated through relevant academic and clinical training.

Preferred Experience

While at least one year of direct experience as a Physician Assistant in dermatology is strongly preferred, candidates with a passion for skin health and potential for growth will also be considered. Experience with electronic health records systems and proficiency in diagnostic procedures related to dermatology will enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
