Schedule: 12-hour shifts

This Acute Care position includes a mix of Med/Surg and Telemetry patients.
  • Typical staffing ratio: 1:6
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Minimum 36 hours/week, including every other weekend
How you'll contribute
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:
  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Assists RN with development of plan of care.
  • Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.

What we're looking for
The right person who will as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Applicants should have a current VA or compact state LPN license. Must be a graduate of a practical school of nursing.
Additional requirements include:
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.

Hourly range: $22.20 - $29.97 per hour
