Maintenance Technician Job Description:
This position is accountable for work in our plant maintenance department, ensuring that maintenance activities are performed with minimum interruption in production operations and in compliance with our company rules and safety practices.
Required Skills:
-Strong mechanical abilities!
- Experience working with industrial electricity, refrigeration and mechanical systems, TIG welding
- Ability to trouble-shoot mechanical problems for production and other plant equipment, and consult with Maintenance Department when necessary.
- Ability to read and understand technical information, work orders, and labels.
-Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees.
-   Working knowledge of standard operating procedures including, but not limited to, USDA guidelines, OSHA requirements, HAACP guidelines, GMPs, quality specifications, employee handbook, and company policies.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance on machinery (i.e. checking belts, chains, electrical cabinets, greasing, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot when necessary (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.)
  • Maintain record keeping on preventative maintenance performed
  • Dismantles and reassembles machinery and equipment in order to make necessary repairs
  • Researches required parts needed for repairs and fills out order requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager
