Guides students through conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans using evidence-based modalities, navigating dual relationships, and applying supervision principles. Emphasizes advanced clinical reasoning and connecting MSW-level practice knowledge to complex client scenarios.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with ASWB Masters examination content and common challenges such as distinguishing clinical from macro-level questions, applying advanced ethics to dual relationship scenarios, and selecting appropriate evidence-based interventions. Adapts instruction using ASWB practice examinations, clinical case studies, and treatment modality comparisons to support MSW graduates preparing for LMSW licensure.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
