Senior Hospice Care Consultant

Location: Memphis, Tennessee

Position: Sales

Remote/Virtual Position: Field and Office

Responsibilities

The Senior Hospice Care Consultant (Senior HCC) is responsible for driving referrals and admissions by educating and engaging in referral sources about hospice care, while also serving as a mentor and coach to other Hospice Care Consultants (HCCs). This dual role combines expert-level sales execution with peer support responsibilities. Senior HCCs are assigned to support onboarding, skill development, and performance improvement for new or underperforming HCCs. The position is field-based and requires strong sales, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent healthcare sales experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of successful performance as a Hospice Care Sales Consultant or similar healthcare sales role
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed referral and admit goals and navigate complex provider environments

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Hospice Care Consultant, you will:

  • Generate hospice referrals through professional relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other key referral sources.
  • Meet with patients and chosen families to gather admission information and complete sign-ons
  • Deliver engaging in-services and educational sessions to healthcare professionals and the community to improve awareness of hospice eligibility and AccentCare services.
  • Manage territory using a structured sales process, including weekly and quarterly call plans aligned to growth goals.
  • Use CRM tools to track sales activity, referral trends, and territory intelligence in real time.
  • Collaborate closely with admissions, clinical, and operations teams to ensure timely response to referrals and optimize patient/family experience.
