Location: Macon, GA

Reports To: Manager of Cornerstone

Status: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Are you someone who takes pride in your work, is accountable, and finds fulfillment in helping others? Wesley Glen Ministries is looking for full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are reliable, compassionate, and committed to making a real impact in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.

As a Cornerstone DSP, you will be more than just a caregiver—you will assist the Manager of Cornerstone to ensure proper preparation and operation of the Community Assess Group program. Our team works collaboratively to ensure that every resident thrives physically, emotionally, and socially.

What You’ll Do:

Take ownership of creating a safe, clean, and engaging environment.

✅ Assist the Manager of Day Services in all areas of the program assigned.

✅ Monitor and document self-administration of medications.

✅ Encourage personal growth by facilitating social activities and skill-building opportunities.

✅ Track and document all individual summary/ daily notes including ISP goals, bowel tracking, seizure tracking, skin integrity, incident reporting, accident reporting, and behavioral reports where applicable.

✅ Actively engage in problem-solving and be flexible when challenges arise.

✅Follow a monthly calendar of events.

✅Follow the assigned staffing schedule.

✅Follow the assigned “Team” schedule for community outings.

✅Follow a person- centered curriculum according to the individual’s needs and strengths.

✅Be a team player—reliable, punctual, and willing to step up when needed.

✅Assist the individuals with their daily life skills needs.

✅Assist with lunch set-up and clean-up daily.

✅Sign all tracking and summary reports.

✅Ensure the daily signing- in and signing- out of individuals within the program.

✅ Document all billable units and forward them to the Director of Day Services.

✅Forward all documented reports to Director of Day Services.

✅Attend ISP meetings if needed.

✅Attend meetings and complete training to meet the 16 hours of CEU required.

✅Conduct, participate and document all safety drills.

✅Must always demonstrate good and sensible driving techniques.

✅Must dress and groom appropriately to represent WGM in the community.

✅Must demonstrate a positive attitude regarding the program, staff, Individuals, and WGM.

✅Any other duties assigned.

???? Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor activities and occasional high-stress situations.
