Job description

IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced DSD Shipping Supervisor position for one of the world's largest growers and distributors of fresh flowers located in City of Industry, CA.


DSD Shipping Supervisor

The DSD Shipping Supervisor oversees daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are accurately prepared, loaded, and delivered on time. This role leads the shipping team, coordinates with transportation and warehouse departments, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures safety and quality standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily shipping activities and warehouse staff.
  • Ensure orders are picked, packed, staged, loaded, and shipped correctly.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules with transportation and customer service teams.
  • Assign labor and manage workflow to meet daily goals.
  • Review shipping paperwork, including bills of lading and load documents.
  • Coordinate with carriers and drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve shipment issues.
  • Track productivity and shipping performance.
  • Follow company safety procedures and DOT transportation requirements.
  • Support process improvements to increase efficiency.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse, shipping, logistics, or distribution experience.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment.
  • Experience with warehouse systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible schedules.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and DOT regulations is a plus.


Ideal Candidate:

  • 3–5 years of warehouse/logistics/distribution experience
  • Supervisory experience in shipping or warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of DSD operations, transportation coordination, inventory control, and DOT compliance.
  • Experience with WMS and Excel
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000K.
