Job description

Job Title: DSD (Direct Store Delivery) Store Merchandiser

Reports To: Director of Logistics

Hours/Status: Part -time, Nonexempt, Work Hours: Saturday and Sunday

(Mornings), Holidays as needed

Salary: $20 per hour

Job Summary:

Responsible for stocking and rotating bread, removing credits, completing store inventories, and reporting inventory counts and concerns to management. We are looking for someone to stock fresh bread in Wegmans locations on Saturdays and Sundays. The position would be ideal for someone who is already merchandising in stores and is looking for additional weekend hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain sufficient stock on shelves in assigned retail space.
  • Maintain the stock area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Maintain sufficient stock on the displays in the stores.
  • Rotate shelf stock appropriately.
  • Notify Management of any issues encountered during processing.
  • Communicate effectively with Store Manager and Management.
  • Adheres to safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
  • Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED;
  • One to three months’ related experience
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day.
  • Ability to climb ladders, and to reach and stoop to count merchandise.
  • Frequently required standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, bending, hearing and speaking.
