The merchandiser maintains the quality and integrity of Graeter's ice cream in the assigned grocery market by acting as a sales ambassador for Graeter's, maintaining relationships with customers, and answering their questions and concerns.

Job Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related merchandising experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Language: Ability to read product labels and differentiate between products. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers.
  • Math: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Certificates and Licenses: Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach above the shoulder or below the waist with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Additionally, the employee frequently lifts 40 pounds and occasionally pushes/pulls carts weighing up to 800 pounds.
  • Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work for up to 15 minutes at a time in walk-in freezers at temperatures as low as -20º F.
