Key Behavioral Competencies
  • Knowledge of the operations departments: quality assurance, food safety, driver safety, general maintenance, asset management, shipping and receiving, and inventory management.

  • Knowledge of safety-related issues including compliance with State, Federal, and Local regulations, including but not limited to OSHA and HAACP standards.
Position Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze various reports to identify strengths and weaknesses in business processes, as well as evaluate operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate resources for operational projects.
  • Present analyses and reports to senior management with recommendations and action plans.
  • Work with leadership to ensure business decisions align with operational priorities and organizational goals.
  • Maintain relationships and improve communications with all department leaders.
  • Develop and maintain processes for all initiatives and customer requirements.
  • Provides input to the development of customer relationship strategy.
  • Establishes product quality control standards, enforces cost controls, and obtains product specifications and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Provides guidance in the development of a distribution center process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, safety requirements, facility needs, equipment needs, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of warehouse operations, including employee documentation.
  • Determines responsibilities of staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Ensures all assigned employees are trained to comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Lead the achievement of a zero-injury workplace, including compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations.
  • Build a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism, demonstrating active support of the Company's values and policies.
  • Understand and enforce procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan.
  • Position is full-time and on-site.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manages subordinate supervisors who manage employees in Special Projects, Shipping and Receiving, Loading, Order Processing, Routing, Inventory and Auditing, and customer service departments.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of departments.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; reviewing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's degree. A combination of education, training, and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the
work may be substituted. · 5+ years' relevant experience, with prior leadership experience. · Strong business acumen and working knowledge of process control and improvement tools. Knowledge of EOS is a plus. · Participative management style and excellent organizational and communication skills · Strong technical skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 & Windows. · Spanish speaking skills a plus.
