Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide a security for company resources, guests and team members in accordance with Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise and the respective security department policies
  • Perform chip and credit transactions and money transfers, verifies amount by signature, in accordance with company, Tribal, State and Federal guidelines
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and proficiency in casino and department procedures and policies
  • Detect and correct safety and/or security problems which endanger guests, team members or assets
  • Respond to incidents, unusual occurrences and take immediate action, when appropriate, to correct the situation and/or report the incident
  • Escort casino funds and direct traffic to ensure safety
  • Apprehend suspects to prevent escape and/or loss of company resources
  • Assist and provide medical aid
  • Perform other functions and tasks assigned

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic computer skills a must

On The Job Training
  • Ongoing training on Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise and respective security department policy and procedures
  • Medical aid training in CPR and first aid
  • Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM training)
  • Taser Certification
  • PPCT/Use of Force Training

Conditions of Employment
  • Must complete a 90-day introductory period
  • Must obtain Key Gaming License upon hire

Requirements
  • Able to work irregular hours
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Physically fit and able to lift 40+ lbs.
  • Must complete all security certifications within one year of hire in accordance with the Gaming Commissions rules and regulations
