DS Bus South is now hiring School Bus Drivers to safely transport students for Acadia Parish Schools. Whether you're an experienced CDL driver or have never driven a school bus before, we'll provide the training, support, and opportunities you need to succeed.

Never driven a school bus?

No problem.

Qualified applicants can earn their Commercial Driver's License through our paid CDL training program. We'll teach you everything you need to become a safe, confident, and professional School Bus Driver.

Many of our best drivers had no previous CDL experience before joining our team.

Driving in Louisiana should be comfortable.

Our modern fleet includes air-conditioned buses to help keep drivers comfortable throughout the school year while safely transporting students.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Complete required child safety checks

Maintain a clean, safe, and DOT-compliant bus

Communicate professionally with students, parents, and school staff

Represent DS Bus South with professionalism, courtesy, and pride

Must be at least 21 years of age

Valid driver's license

Safe driving record

Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening

CDL preferred but not required
