Job description

POSITION: Production Technician


DESCRIPTION

Capsule is hiring for a Production Technician position that reports into the Director of Manufacturing. The Production Technician's primary responsibilities are to assemble customer orders on our manufacturing floor. This position involves working in a dynamic workplace, supporting multiple projects at once to meet customer deadlines. This function will require a core focus on excellent communication, good work ethic and a positive attitude to ship orders on time. This is an onsite position, Monday- Friday and the hours are 6 AM- 2:30 PM.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May involve the following areas of assembly:
    • framing, wall board, insulation and panels.
    • Aluminum powder coat and stainless steel food service assemblies.
    • Food service and commercial/residential appliance installation.
    • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets accurately to fit specific spaces and designs.
      • Frame walls and ceilings using appropriate construction materials, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with codes.
      • Apply joint compound (mudding) to seams, corners, and other areas to create a smooth, seamless finish.
      • Sand and prepare drywall surfaces for priming and painting.
      • Repair damaged drywall, including patching holes, cracks, or other issues as needed.
    • Hand tool use for assembling metal stud, trim, interior and exterior finishes and cabinetry.
    • Assist with inventory, receiving and shipping including palletizing, stacking, wrapping and moving material around the facility.
    • Perform quality control checks on parts and materials entering or leaving the manufacturing facility.
    • Regular work space cleaning and organization.
    • Attention to safety procedures and protocols.
    • Final inspections of all assemblies leaving the facility to certify quality of assembly.
    • In addition to these duties, when downtime occurs the position will be required to assist in other departments depending on the company's need. This could look like cleaning, organizing, assembling, driving (errands & deliveries), etc.


    REQUIREMENTS

    • 1-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
    • Ability to work with hand tools.
    • Familiarity with construction drawings or production modeling software.
    • Standing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs of equipment at a time.
    • Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work in a team environment as part of a growing company.
    • Clean driving record for 15% of travel a year for installations or service calls
