Job Overview

Bax Homeworks is seeking a highly skilled Lead Painter & Drywall Specialist with broad residential remodeling experience to join our team in Nashville. While this role includes general remodeling tasks like carpentry and flooring, the primary focus is delivering flawless drywall installation, repair, level 4/5 finishing, and high-end interior/exterior painting. The ideal candidate takes exceptional pride in their craft, possesses elite attention to detail, and excels in transforming residential living spaces.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Focus: High-End Painting & Drywall
  • Drywall Installation & Finishing: Hang, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall across residential renovations; execute flawless level 4 and level 5 finishes, skim coating, seam blending, and custom texture matching.

  • Precision Painting: Execute high-end prep work (sanding, caulking, priming, caulking, patching) and apply paint/stain finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and custom cabinetry with exceptional accuracy using sprayers, rollers, and brushes.

  • Surface Repair: Diagnose and repair water damage, cracks, popping nails, structural seams, and aged drywall patches prior to paint application.

General Remodeling & Construction
  • Carpentry & Trim Work: Install trim, baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and assist with cabinetry installation and light framing.

  • General Trades Support: Perform flooring installations, assist with tile work, fixture installs, and execute light demolition while maintaining a clean work environment.
