Job description

NOW HIRING – Experienced Dry Cleaning Presser

ZIPS CLEANERS in Norfolk is looking for an experienced Dry Cleaning Presser to join our team.

  • Steady daytime hours. No Sundays.
  • Full-time position
  • Competitive pay ($15–$18+/hr depending on experience)

Immediate opening – start as soon as possible.

Now Hiring experienced utility, pants, and shirt pressers at our busy Norfolk location. Responsibilities include pressing and finishing garments, maintaining quality standards, and keeping the work area clean and organized. Experience with dry cleaning pressing equipment preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all opening, ongoing, and closing duties as assigned 
  • Professionally finish garments according to established finishing techniques so that they meet ZIPS Quality Standards.
  • Professionally finish laundered garments that do not fit on the shirt unit according to established finishing techniques.
  • Work with other Pressers as a team to complete Lots in a timely manner.
  • Meet production goals for finishing garments – 70 pieces per operator hour (PPOH)
  • Follow safety and security guidelines  
  • Complete all assigned duties in a timely manner
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
