Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The Email Developer (ED) is responsible for designing and writing code and providing support to build also responsive email designs.

They need to know HTML, CSS and media query, the ED is able to work independently tasks, assuming ownership for the design and programming required. ED should handle the code very well, to developing a responsive email, this individual will rely on existing designs. The ED should also be able to provide reasonable estimates for his tasks.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES


  • Work with the design team, tech leads and PMs.

  • Develop mobile-compatible advertisements and banners.

  • Coach and support other Email Developers in fulfill their tasks and improving their skills.

  • Ensure that implementation matches the design, including syncing.

  • Create JavaScript animations (basic to complex level) using library animations (eg. Greensock, etc.).

  • Customize HTML, CSS, and JS code generated by various tools.

  • Optimize HTML, CSS, and JS code to achieve maximum performance with minimum size.

  • Ensure browser compatibility.

  • Willing to work overtime and research online marketing resolutions.

  • Being aware and having a proactive, mindful "eye" to problem identification and mitigation
    (associated with execution of HTML Email Campaigns).

  • Using the following programs Excel, Good Docs, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, HTML/CSS Skills.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND


  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE


  • At least 2-3 years email specific development experience

  • 2 years of development experience

  • Must have digital portfolio, covering dynamic email samples

  • Experience on digital development skills and experience (landing pages, banners, etc).

  • Experience dev skills in HTML, CSS

  • Exposure to JavaScript and CMS (eg: Drupal and/or WordPress) is a plus!

  • Hands on QA experience utilizing Litmus or similar.

  • Familiar with ad publishers (eg. Salesforce, Engage)

  • Photoshop, Skecth proficiency required to manipulate assets

  • Detail oriented, organized, and the ability to meet deadlines while working with some projects at the same time.

  • Proven experience with modern web standards and cross-browser compatibility issues

  • Experience with front end, JavaScript and frameworks.

  • Ability to work with IDEs (Sublime Text or Visual Studio Code is required)

  • Knowledge of pre-processed CSS styling (SASS, LESS) is a strong plus.

  • Experience working with mobile and web templates

  • Knowledge and experience in graphic design for web, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a strong plus.

  • Knowledge using repositories (eg. GitHub o Bitbucket) is a strong plus.

  • Implementation of Email templates.

  • Knowledge in W3C Standards (or able to learn quickly about them).
