Job description

Duration: Long term contract

Statement of Need and Purpose:

  • Provide technical expertise to review, update, analyze, and modify existing programming systems.
  • Develop, encode, test, debug, and install new programs using various programming languages.
  • Develop and schedule data backups, security patches, system upgrades, and related maintenance activities.
  • Document assignments and prepare technical reports as required.
  • Write, maintain, and update program and system documentation.
  • Document programming issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical Drupal 10+ advisor for NTP public websites, applications, the NTP main website, Annual Report, and ICCVAM Biennial Reports.
  • Perform technical duties in PHP and Drupal 10+ technology areas, including developing roadmaps, schedules, status reports, plans, and technical recommendations.
  • Coordinate technical activities with third-party vendors and development teams.
  • Review technical work and provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
  • Monitor Drupal project plans and work closely with the Senior OpDev Specialist – PHP/Drupal.
  • Maintain and monitor web applications, databases, software tools, and Drupal environments.
  • Implement improvements to application operations, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Test, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize software products to ensure strong functionality and performance.
  • Perform operational duties related to application, database, and software tool maintenance.
  • Maintain and follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform development activities, including developing new applications, features, and major system revisions.
  • Maintain existing applications and implement enhancements based on business and technical requirements.
  • Provide technical recommendations and review development work to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.
  • Write, maintain, and update program, technical, and operational documentation.
