POSITION TITLE: Enterprise Applications Graduate Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Systems Integrations
JOB STATUS: Part-time, Graduate Assistant
DATE AVAILABLE: 8/24/2026
LOCATION: River Forest
HOURS PER WEEK: 20
HOURLY RATE: $18.00/hourly + graduate tuition remission up to 12 credit hours per academic year
TERM: One year term, with possible renewal for a second year
Position Summary
The Enterprise Applications Graduate Assistant (EAGA) works with Information Technology staff and the Dominican University community on projects related to records management, information governance, enterprise applications, and data analytics. The EAGA assists in training the university community on records management practices and enterprise applications. The EAGA assists in troubleshooting applications with users, creates written documentation, and utilizes the University ticketing system. The EAGA provides training and support to fellow student worker staff, ensuring that they are guided and mentored effectively, and in accordance with the departmental policies. The EAGA handles and accesses confidential information in all departments throughout the university.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervisory Scope: This role does not supervise employees.
  • Assist in implementing Softdocs™ across the university, including preparing physical records for digitizing, scanning paper records, uploading electronic records, indexing records, and updating metadata.
  • Assist in designing digital forms & workflows for university departments, including attending planning meetings, taking meeting notes & summarizing, communicating with departments, and training department staff on Softdocs™.
  • Assist in training IT student workers on processes, answering questions, and mentoring.
  • Assist in creating training materials for student workers and university employees.
  • Assist in documenting internal procedures.
  • Perform research, create reports, and compile statistics for presentation to leadership.
  • Assist in technology support utilizing the TeamDynamix ticketing system, including troubleshooting applications with users, and granting access/permission to applications.
  • Assist in managing department SharePoint sites, including creating/editing pages for their content, and training them to create/edit on their own going forward.
  • Assist with other web & desktop applications.
  • Assist with data analytics projects.
  • Participate in other DU-IT projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Enrollment in a Dominican University graduate program is required.
  • Ability to lift & carry boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a group and independently.
  • Ability to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of web & desktop applications used in an academic setting.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 year of experience working in Information Technology.
  • Successful completion of courses in computer science, informatics, web design, programming, data analysis, or statistics.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in Records Management or Information Governance fields.
  • Experience working with content management systems like Softdocs™ or Drupal.
