Drumming Operator 1
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY)
Reporting directly to the Barge, Bulk & Drumming Manager, the Drumming Operator I is responsible for packaging, loading, and unloading material within a warehouse or storage facility using drums and totes.
III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Position-specific vocational education/experience, training, or certification preferred.
· Sit-down forklift certification required; in-house certification will be provided prior to start.
Kind & Length of Experience:
· Minimum 6 months stand-up forklift experience required.
· At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting preferred.
· At least 1 year of experience utilizing hand trucks, hoists, conveyors, pumps, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and tanks preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to work in extreme climates (high/low).
· Able to walk upstairs, climb ladders, and walk long distances.
· Able to independently lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis during shift.
· Able to push/pull up to 540 lbs on a roller conveyor.
· Ability to stand in one place for multiple hours at a time.
III. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
· Comply with all customers, regulatory, and quality requirements in the performance of all tasks as set forth in the company’s policies and procedures.
· Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
· Basic computer skills.
· Understand and follow instructions to package various chemicals into drums and totes.
· Operate various process equipment including pumps, agitators, valves, and steam heating systems.
· Produce Star glycerin from a mixture of glycerin and water.
· Load and unload trucks as needed.
· Unload empty drums from trailers.
· Operate drum fill machines.
· Shrink wrap and palletize drums.
· Use a handheld scanner to scan pallet license plates to locations for put away.
· Verify and double-check final product packaged weight to ensure it meets customer expectations.
· Inspect and label drums, ensure proper closure, and store drums according to accepted standards.
· Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations.
· Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures and other requirements.
· Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance with all Local, State and Federal Regulations.
· Other duties as requested.
