CDL Drivers Class A Class B Lowboy and/or Triaxle Dump Truck

Heavy Highway Construction Industry

  • Lowboy Driver pay based on experience from $35.00 per hour, plus overtime.
  • Triaxle Dump Truck Driver pay based on experience from $28.00 per hour, plus overtime.

Core Responsibilities:

The primary function of our CDL A and/or B Driver positions is to safely move equipment and materials to and from our jobsites. In addition, the driver is expected to:

  • Safely drive lowboy and/or triaxle dump trucks on public roads and active construction sites, navigating diverse terrain and traffic conditions.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific protocols. This includes performing pre- and post-trip inspections daily, documenting any issues, and ensuring cargo is securely fastened.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the truck and equipment.
  • Coordinate with foremen, dispatchers, vendors, and other team members to ensure efficient transportation and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate logs and necessary paperwork.
  • Report any incidents on the road and follow directions from supervisors or dispatchers.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELDs) such as tablet and/or smart phone.
  • Be willing to work overtime, including nights and weekends at times, and drive in different weather conditions.

REQUIRED Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 3 years' recent commercial driving MANUAL TRANSMISSION experience, with specific experience operating lowboy and dump trucks. Heavy highway construction experience preferred.
  • A clean driving record and a clean FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse record.
