Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Hydrogeologist who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success.  This position will be working out of our Green Bay, WI; Minneapolis, MN; Duluth, MN; or Madison, WI locations with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical execution of hydrogeological aspects of projects
  • Work with project managers to estimate project costs and consult on technical approach
  • Develop technical approaches for regional hydrologic characterization of groundwater systems in environments comprised of unconsolidated deposits and fractured crystalline rock
  • Provide project and technical leadership on complex, multi-disciplined projects, to include managing a portion of a project’s budget, scope, schedule, regulatory and contractual commitments
  • Develop and implement technical approaches for numerical analysis of groundwater and surface water systems in support of permitting, industrial development and site remediation
  • Teach, mentor and develop other members, as well as serve as a resource in the area of hydrogeology
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience conducting hydrogeological investigations, including at least 5 years of hands-on field experience
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing field characterization programs, including aquifer testing, hydrophysical profiling, groundwater modeling, and numerical analysis
  • Proven ability to provide project leadership on complex, multi-disciplinary projects, including management of budgets, schedules, regulatory and contractual commitments, and delivery of technical consultation
  • Experience integrating hydrogeologic investigations and numerical analyses with feasibility studies and alternatives analyses
  • Previous experience providing expert witness testimony at environmental hearings
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Hydrogeology or Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Experience working in deep bedrock environments
  • Previous experience working with a technical consulting firm
The base compensation listed for this job posting reflects a general range for the posted position.  Base compensation will vary based on factors such as: years of experience, location, level of responsibility and licenses/certifications. In addition to base compensation, Foth members may be eligible to receive bonuses through our Earned Performance Incentive program.
