Status: Casual, On-call

Schedule: 12 hours shifts (day and night rotation)

You will partner with team members, clients and leaders to achieve and maintain a high standard of client specific programs and services revolutionizing industrial health care/services. As a member of one of the largest Health Care Centers in Canada you will be shaping the future of how Canadians engage in occupational and non-occupational health care.

  • Providing Emergency Response Services in a Mining environment
  • Protecting client privacy through maintaining confidentiality of personal health care information
  • Performing accurate assessment of injuries/medical complications both occupational and non-occupational.
  • Administer first aid treatment
  • Performing Industry Standard Alcohol and Drug testing proficiencies
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Facilitator - expert in teaching and training in specific PPE programs
  • Responsible for initiating all emergency notification response to appropriate call out teams (mine, fire and rope rescue team)
  • Compile and distribution of safety reports, distribution lists etc

  • Verifying patient demographics and pertinent medical/health/injury history
  • Interacting with client in a polished, professional and courteous manner
  • Collecting/entering/confirming demographics, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) distribution and accurate maintain statistics
  • Accurately assessing injuries, providing appropriate treatments of injuries or referring to the appropriate team member
  • Engage in extensive emergency medical responder, DOT drug technician, BAT (breath alcohol technician), Personal
  • Protection Equipment (PPE) training to provide industrial standard proficiencies to specific client
  • Daily checklist and supplies as required to ensure well stocked equipped first aid rooms
Qualifications

  • EMR certification an asset however training is provided to acquire certification
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and outlook
  • Valid driver license required
  • Exhibits a professional image, mature communication style and polished manner with clients
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact while respecting client/patient confidentiality and protection of health care information
  • Works well under pressure and demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing time sensitive tasks
  • Demonstrated effective organizational and problem solving abilities. Ability to work independently in high pressure situations
  • Self-starter who demonstrates attention to detail, exhibits a high level of sound judgement and accountability
  • Be a solid team member of a leading health care center providing revolutionary industrial health care encompassing a unique client specific service
