Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections and tests on in-process and finished product to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the Packaging Assembly and fabrication process.

Reports To: QA/QC Manager

Work Location: 6246 McHard Road, Houston, TX 77053

Position Responsibilities
  • Serve as quality person for assigned departments, select proper weld procedure, track material and ASME pipe welds, gather documentation to develop turnovers, and perform MT and PT NDE testing.
  • Perform inspections and testing activities to ensure continuous control over processes and testing are being achieved.
  • Inspect, the work of ProEnergy personnel to drawings and/or specifications, verifying completeness and quality of work.
  • Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood and carried out.
  • Inspect products being received, per engineering specifications.
  • Generate various quality process performance reports and initiate any corrective actions as needed.
  • Generate/maintain database for in-process and final inspection information.
  • Ensure proper inspection documentation is being maintained through out the entire process.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in related discipline in the industrial workplace.
  • CWI required
  • Qualified candidate must be able, with or without a reasonable accommodation, to perform the following essential functions:
    • Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 15 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc.,
    • Infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds
    • Perform inspections in indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associates degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) credentials.
  • Read and Interpret F&ID, P&ID, WPS drawings, standards and specifications.
  • Ability to perform routine Inspection and Test Plan Surveillance tasks with no supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 quality system.
  • Able to run controlled experiments under direction of engineering/manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in use of tape measure and calibrated tooling.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
