WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO AS AN ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER AT SIGMA:


Assist Project Manager in planning and executing projects from planning through delivery. Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated. Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project milestones and deadlines. Monitor task completion status to identify at-risk projects and communicate with Project Managers.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists Project Manager with managing the entire life cycle of a function(s), project(s), program, and/or customer, from set-up through execution to close-out
  • Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects
  • Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables
  • Analyzing data as required
  • Prepares agendas, and meeting notes, drafting invoices, drawing estimates, and project summaries.
  • Monitors task completion status to identify at-risk project tasks and reports project progress.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience: 3+ years of demonstrated experience with power distribution design or related projects; management may consider other education and/or work experience to be acceptable for appointment to this position.
  • Available during the โ€œcoreโ€ work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday-Friday; occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed, including monthly overnight travel
  • Dependable transportation and valid driverโ€™s license and insurance
  • Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to endure frequent/lengthy: Driving, standing, walking long distances (5 miles or more in a day), navigating rough terrain on foot, and lifting/balancing objects that may weigh up to ~20 lbs. and require the use of upper extremities and back muscles; work in proximity to moving vehicles in the right of way.
  • Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time, including sitting at a desk and driving in a vehicle.
  • Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal; these activities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, often in a group setting.
  • Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
