Sanitary Disposal, A Waste Connections Company is looking for a CDL A Roll Off Driver in Hermiston, OR
Starting Wage: $30.50/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 5:00 AM until route completion (typically 9-11 hours/day)
Overtime: Often Available

Position Summary
Sanitary Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused Roll-Off CDL Driver to join our team in Hermiston, Oregon. This position is responsible for operating a roll-off truck on a designated local route, delivering and retrieving roll-off containers for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a roll-off truck on assigned routes to deliver and retrieve roll-off/drop boxes
  • Safely operate manual transmission vehicles
  • Read and follow route assignments via route tablet or dispatcher instructions
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including fluids, tires, and safety equipment
  • Load and unload containers, at times without assistance
  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift, load, and transport containers
  • Dispose of materials at designated facilities in a safe and compliant manner
  • Maintain courteous and professional communication with customers
  • Accurately complete required documentation and reports
  • Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Physically demanding position requiring repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling of 50+ lbs
  • Frequent climbing in and out of truck cab
  • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity
  • Exposure to noise, vibration, fumes, and moving mechanical parts
  • Must consistently follow established safety procedures

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement, no restrictions
  • No CDL restrictions; must be interstate-qualified
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant CDL driving experience
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Working knowledge of truck components to complete inspections
  • Strong safety awareness and customer service mindset
