GCS/QGC Engineer

Job Summary

Join our dynamic engineering team as a GCS/QGC Engineer in Chicago , where you'll develop cutting-edge ground control station and quality ground control systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in an emerging field with UAV technologies

Key Responsibilities

  • Modify QGroundControl (QGC) to implement new features and custom implementations
  • Design and develop various ground control station (GCS)
  • Create rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate new features and functionality
  • Work with emerging hardware (Radios, IP rated ground control systems, etc...)
  • Implement GUI elements and user interfaces for control systems using modern frameworks
  • Optimize system performance and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time applications
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality software development standards
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support testing and validation of control systems in various operational scenarios

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages
  • Experience developing GUI applications and user interface components
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and deliver results in fast-paced environments
  • Can-do attitude with willingness to tackle challenging technical problems
