Role Overview

The Technical Support & Training Specialist supports the sales department by:

  • Training and supporting customers in the application of their agriculture drones and related software.
  • Partner with the sales team to identify, qualify, and close opportunities for ag drone solutions.
  • Participate in sales calls, site visits, and discovery meetings with growers, co-ops, custom applicators, and AG service providers.
  • Provide product expertise during the sales process, positioning Multicopter Warehouse as a trusted advisor.
  • Follow-up training to ensure successful adoption and safe, compliant operation.
  • Manage and execute demos, including in-field operation, explanation of features and benefits, and addressing technical questions.
  • Support lead capture and follow-up activities to convert demo interest into sales.
  • Serve as a primary contact for telephone and onsite technical support for agriculture drone customers under Multicopter Warehouse support programs.
  • Provide telephone and remote support for flight issues, mission planning, payload operation, and basic maintenance.
  • Perform warranty and non-warranty support and repair activities.
  • Document all support/repair activities:
  • Submit and track warranty claims
  • Order, stock, secure, and track inventory needed to support agriculture drone customers.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the support and sales of agriculture drone solutions.


Qualifications

This position is highly technical in nature and requires:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Discipline preferred / Not required.
  • FAA Part 107 Required.
  • State Applicators license is a PLUS.
  • Knowledge of herbicide and pesticide application a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge (or the ability to rapidly learn) of UAS systems, flight planning, payload integration (spray systems, spreaders, sensors), and agriculture workflows.
  • Understanding of precision agriculture practices including mapping, spraying, application rates, and basic agronomy concepts as they relate to drone operations.
  • Working knowledge of drone mission-planning and data-processing software and how they interact with aircraft systems and field operations.
  • Strong system applications knowledge and methodical troubleshooting skills.
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitude for service and basic repairs.
  • Strong organizational skills to schedule, plan, and execute training and demos for end-users and Multicopter Warehouse employees.
  • Committed to the highest level of customer service.
  • Willingness to work long hours during fungicide season (July and August) for last minute repairs.
  • Strong computer skills to perform testing, firmware updates, and repairs, as well as to interface with internal business systems and vendor portals for warranty validation, support program validation, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Windows and mobile devices; familiarity with drone software and flight planning is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain calm efficiency in the field and with customers.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to travel to customer sites, fields, and events.
  • Background in agriculture, UAS, precision ag, or related technical field is preferred but not strictly required if candidate demonstrates strong aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Extensive hands-on farming experience (row crops, specialty crops, or custom application) is a strong plus and will be highly valued.
