What you’ll do: 

As one of our Drivers, you’ll be driving a well-maintained vehicle while also professionally representing our organization to our customers. This position is for people motivated to drive heavy vehicles (Class 3/DZ License) and provide excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Multiple deliveries (requiring loading and unloading of cylinders)/ day (5- or 10-ton truck) of gas products and hardgoods to local customers within the assigned geographical area 
  • Balancing cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder records 
  • Some administration duties include the use of handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment inventory balances 
  • Comply with all government regulations 
  • Maintaining vehicles as per company vehicle policy, observing safety requirements, and wearing safety equipment and report safety hazards to supervisor 

What it takes:  

  • Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes  
  • Minimum of 1 year driving experience with recognized driving school training or 3 years driving experience 
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience 
  • A clean driving abstract (abstract to be readily available to submit, when asked) 
  • Ability to handle and lift goods up to 60 lbs. 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills  
     

Assets to have:  

  • Knowledge of the gas and/or welding industry  
  • Experience using handheld electronic devices  
  • WHMIS/TDG certification
