Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Driving Instructor to join our team at Hutto Driving School. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a passion for road safety and student success. A Texas Third‐Party Skills Testing (TPST) Examiner Certification is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide behind‐the‐wheel instruction to teen and adult students following Texas DPS standards
  • Teach classroom curriculumcovering traffic laws, defensive driving, and safe‐driving habits
  • Maintain accurate student recordsin compliance with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
  • Prepare students for DPS examsthrough structured lessons and performance feedback
  • If certified, conduct TPST driving exams in accordance with state regulations
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment remain clean, safe, and inspection‐ready

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Driving Instructor License (TDLR‐issued)
  • Clean driving record and valid Texas driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication, patience, and professionalism
