The staff employed in funeral homes need to have a variety of skills and a genuine desire to help, guide and support grieving people in their time of need.

The Limo driver is the first point of contact the family has with the funeral home on the day of their services.

A high level of Customer service is imperative at all times. The Driver is responsible for the vehicle and inspecting it thoroughly.

Punctuality is key in this role, NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Duties:

- Safely operate a limousine and provide transportation services to clients
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Assist clients with loading and unloading their belongings
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle at all times
- Plan routes and navigate to destinations using GPS or maps
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure a positive experience
- Provide excellent customer service and address any client concerns or requests
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle maintenance and inspections

- Assist in parking lot or door duties at a funeral service as needed and designated

- Other duties as assigned

Skills:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement F
- Previous experience in commercial driving, such as school bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Familiarity with limousines and their features
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to reach destinations efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility in working hours, as limousine driving may require day time, evening, or weekend availability.

Job Type: Per Diem

Salary: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 to 15 per week as available and as needed

Benefits: Paid at a minimum of 5 hours per funeral services

  • Weekends as needed

Travel requirement:

  • Up to 50% travel

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • New Haven, CT 06511: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Passenger Endorsement (Required)
    • In the state of Connecticut, you have to get an F endorsement to drive a for hire vehicle or limousine. The policy and procedure are you must obtain and pass the following:
      • A background check
      • Physical
      • Drug test

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)
