Job description

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Ottawa, ON
$21-$25 plus per hour, Dental/Medical Benefits, Vacation pay, lots of tips, Sales and referral bonuses
Join TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Ottawa as a Driver / Mover and be part of a high-energy team delivering exceptional moving experiences. In this role, you will safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) while leading and supporting moving crews to transport household and business goods.
This is a physically active, customer-facing position ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, teamwork, and being on the move.
What You’ll Do
  • Safely operate and maneuver a box truck in compliance with all Ontario and federal transportation regulations
  • Lead or assist a team in loading and unloading customer belongings
  • Provide a positive customer experience from arrival through completion of the move
  • Conduct pre-move walkthroughs and communicate clearly with customers
  • Pack, wrap, and protect furniture and fragile items
  • Complete required paperwork accurately, including inventories and payment collection
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck and equipment
  • Follow all workplace health amp; safety policies and safe lifting practices
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong commitment to customer service and professionalism
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Clear communication skills with customers, coworkers, and management
  • Ability to take direction and lead others when needed
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding role (lifting up to 100 lbs with team support)
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license is appropriate for commercial vehicle operation (e.g., Class G with clean abstract; higher class considered an asset)
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial or professional driving experience
  • Knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Transport Canada regulations
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal background check may be required
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Moving industry experience is an asset but not required (training provided)
