Job description

Temporary Deep Reach Forklift Driver – Inventory Project

Pay: $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability
Assignment Type: Temporary
Estimated Start: Approximately one week prior to inventory for training
Inventory Dates: September 17–20
Shifts: Day and Night Shifts Available

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking 15–18 experienced Deep Reach Forklift Drivers to support a large warehouse inventory project. This is a short-term temporary assignment beginning approximately one week before inventory to allow selected candidates time to train and become familiar with the warehouse, processes, and expectations.

The ideal candidates will have recent, hands-on experience operating a deep reach forklift and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Candidates must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to maintain accuracy while supporting inventory operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a deep reach forklift to move, retrieve, and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with warehouse preparation leading up to the inventory project.
  • Participate in required training and become familiar with warehouse operations prior to inventory.
  • Pull, stage, relocate, and accurately position inventory as needed.
  • Support inventory counts and related warehouse activities.
  • Maintain accuracy when handling and locating materials.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and forklift operating requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned throughout the project.


Requirements

  • Previous deep reach forklift experience is required.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Ability to safely and confidently operate a deep reach forklift in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately during inventory activities.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to commit to the temporary assignment.
  • Must be available to begin approximately one week before inventory for training.
  • Must be available to work either the day or night shift, depending on assignment needs.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and directions.
