NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB

The Driver Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operational management ofdrivers and the continuous monitoring of freight movements to ensure safe, timely, and efficient service delivery.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
  • Manage the daily activities of Drivers.
    Maintain consistent communication with drivers throughout each shift.
  • Monitor driversโ€™ attendance, punctuality, productivity, and performance.
  • Ensure drivers are properly prepared with load information, equipment, documentation, and customer instructions.
  • Provide coaching and operational guidance to improve service quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate driver schedules, route changes, and operational adjustments.
  • Promote adherence to company safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery.
  • Maintain continuous visibility of all assigned loads using GPS, ELD, and TMS.
  • Conduct scheduled driver check calls and status updates.
  • Verify arrival, departure, loading, unloading, and delivery statuses.
  • Identify shipment delays or service disruptions before they impact customer expectations.
  • Escalate operational concerns promptly to Operations Management.
  • Ensure all shipment status updates are accurately documented within internal systems.
  • Verify proof of delivery (PODs) and supporting transportation documentation.
  • Provide proactive shipment updates and estimated arrival times.
  • Respond professionally to customer inquiries regarding shipment status.
  • Communicate delays with proposed recovery plans.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through timely and accurate communication.
  • Coordinate with Safety, Maintenance, and management.
  • Monitor equipment utilization and availability.
  • Assist in load recovery and contingency planning during service interruptions.
  • Ensure operational issues are documented and communicated appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with company operating procedures.
  • Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) compliance through Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
  • Verify drivers maintain required licensing and documentation.
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or policy violations immediately.

12 hours, 3/4 Days per Week (Flexible Schedule)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • 5 successful passes or more at CSEC or equivalent.
  • Excellent computer and administrative skills.
  • A strong work ethic.
