CDL A Driver & Logistics Specialist – Coordinate Regional Freight and Heavy Equipment Hauling


Job Overview:

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a central asset in our logistics network, managing the transportation of critical commercial electrical assets and industrial equipment. This role blends specialized heavy equipment transport with strategic local dispatch management, offering the independence of regional operations alongside a respectful leadership team. Your driving expertise directly safeguards our supply chain efficiency, helping the company meet critical commercial project timelines.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Transport specialized commercial equipment using Landoll trailers, lowboys, rollbacks, and box trailers safely.
  • Coordinate regional dispatch routes, load scheduling, and backhaul opportunities across the freight network.
  • Track shipments in real time to communicate reliable arrival updates to internal operational teams.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and operational hours daily.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance appointments for trucks and heavy trailers to ensure fleet readiness.
  • Secure new regional hauling opportunities by interfacing professionally with local distribution hubs.
  • Inspect all loads thoroughly to verify proper securement before initiating highway transit.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of verified experience operating commercial vehicles requiring a CDL A license.
  • Active Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean operational record.
  • Proven experience hauling heavy construction equipment, shipping containers, and varied trailer configurations.
  • Willingness to travel across established regional routes up to 90% of working hours.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of regional freight patterns and trailer loading procedures.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completed Trade Program or Technical Certification focused on advanced logistics operations.
  • Expert proficiency with Landoll operation, lowboy tie-downs, and rollback loading systems.
  • Background in establishing partnerships with local warehouses, manufacturers, and freight brokers.
  • Strong multitasking skills required to balance electronic dispatch updates with technical driving duties.
  • TWIC Card, OSHA  Certification, Construction Equipment Operations Certification
