Job description

Description
New Hope's transportation department, and team of Route Drivers, do an amazing job of ensuring those we serve get to where they need to be, on time and ready for success. Currently, New Hope is looking to add to this dedicated, caring and compassionate team, and is now hiring for the important role of Route Driver.
On any given day, our Route Drivers assist individuals in getting to doctor and dentist appointments, hair appointments, their places of employment, community activities and more. If you enjoy people, being on the go and being out in the community, this might be the role for you! Route Drivers combine care and compassion with an amazing amount of organization, and then top it off with attention to detail and prioritizing safety. This position is a full-time, 40-hour per week position, working Monday through Friday. When not on the road, this position also assists with maintaining and cleaning vans so they appropriately represent our organization, insuring vehicle first aid kits are kept up-to-date, and completing daily mileage logs and other documentation required by the Iowa DOT.
Requirements
In addition to being good communicators and team players, applicants must have or be willing to obtain a Class C Commercial Drivers License with a Passenger Endorsement. A clear driving record is required, and applicants must be able to pass and maintain their DOT medical certification.
