About the Role
Clarvida is seeking a Family Visitation Aide to support children under DCFS guardianship by providing transportation and supervision during family visits and appointments. This role works closely with Child Welfare Case Managers and Therapists to assist with scheduling, visitation supervision, and retrieving documentation from community providers.
You will help ensure children and youth receive consistent, safe, and supportive care while maintaining clear communication with treatment staff through timely and accurate documentation. This position is well suited for individuals seeking flexible hours and experience in the mental health or child welfare field.
Responsibilities
• Transport children and youth to family visits, appointments, and related services
• Supervise family visitations to ensure safety and appropriateness
• Assist with scheduling appointments and visitations
• Retrieve and submit documentation from community providers as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation related to visitation supervision
• Communicate observations and concerns with Case Managers and Therapists
• Support continuity of care and quality service delivery
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working with children or youth preferred
• Ability to complete a physical exam and TB (PPD) test within 30 days of hire
• Current or willing to become CPR and First Aid Certified within thirty 30 days of hire
• Valid State Driver's License and active automobile insurance
• Ability to obtain an Illinois Driver's License within 30 days of hire if relocating
