The scanner operates specialized EMI equipment to detect longitudinal and transverse defects, ensuring tubing integrity before it is returned to the well.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain EMI tools and safety gear; perform housekeeping and shop maintenance.
  • Safety Compliance: Wear PPE at all times, follow safe work procedures for handling heavy tubing (often 200+ lbs), and ensure compliance with safety and incident reporting.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license (no CDL required), ability to pass drug tests, and familiarity with oilfield safety protocols.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Work Environment

  • Location: Multiple oilfield sites (Hobbs, NM and surrounding area and Farmington, NM).
  • Schedule: Full-time, often 40+ hours/week, including weekends, nights, and on-call overtime.
  • Conditions: Outdoor, mobile work in remote well sites; exposure to oilfield hazards and weather.
