RSW MED Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver 


Job Summary

The Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver is responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, dialysis centers, rehabilitation facilities, and other healthcare locations. This role requires professionalism, compassion, punctuality, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport clients to scheduled medical appointments in a timely manner
  • Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles, including wheelchair securement when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures
  • Complete trip logs, mileage reports, and required documentation accurately
  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, clients, caregivers, and medical facilities
  • Report vehicle issues, incidents, or client concerns promptly
  • Ensure passenger comfort, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
  • Use GPS, routing software, or dispatch systems efficiently


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Pass a D.O.T. physical
