Safety Specialist - General Compliance
Cottage Grove, WI - On-Site

The Role
The Safety Specialist - General Compliance supports DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety programs. This role focuses on fleet compliance, driver safety, incident response, training, and regulatory reporting while serving as a key safety resource across the organization.
What You'll Do:
  • Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance (DQ files, HOS, DVIRs, MVRs, inspections)
  • Manage ELD and in-vehicle camera systems
  • Lead vehicle incident reporting, investigations, and corrective training
  • Support DOT & Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing programs
  • Conduct and support new driver and ongoing safety training
  • Support fleet programs, claims management, OSHA compliance, and safety audits

Your Schedule:
  • Position is on-site
  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Some travel involved, 10%

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • DOT/FMCSA and OSHA compliance experience with CMV fleets
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and be on-call as needed

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Class A CDL (or ability to obtain within 24 months)
  • First Aid/CPR/AED (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
