As an EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) certified turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, we leverage our in-house expertise to efficiently manage and execute large-scale projects. Our dedication to sustainability and quality extends beyond project completion; we also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance for the projects we develop, as well as for third-party installations.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of Network Service Technician Assistant at Green Water and Power. This position will encompass a range of responsibilities related to assistance with the installation of Networks and Wi-Fi for EV charging sites, and system maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and hands-on experience with network installations. This position reports to the Networking Manager and works closely with Construction. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in renewable project development, construction, and operation while contributing to substantial growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Field installation of access points, ethernet cable, switches, and routers.
  • Assessment of existing internet equipment and necessary equipment upgrades.
  • Responsible for the purchase, installation and maintenance of equipment and software.
  • Commissioning EV site networks and EV chargers.
  • Maintain inventory of network equipment.
  • Monitor solar and EV systems and performance.
  • Perform maintenance on solar energy systems and EV Chargers
  • Manage service calls and verify system performance to ensure customer satisfaction and proper operation.
  • Ensure required tools and equipment are in good working order and ensure project site safety.
  • Other assignments and special projects, as requested by management.
  • Partake in company training when required.
  • Local travel required.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of network installation experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft software.
  • Ability to proficiently Install and configure network access points, switches, and routers on site.
  • Monitor charger status and troubleshoot when needed.
  • DCHP/LAN knowledge
  • Experience with firewalls and security.
  • Proficient in IMAP, IONOS, DCHP, LAN, Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with the safe use of hand-held power tools.
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.).
  • Willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
  • Leadership and organization skills a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must have own car, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
